How the Advisory Relationship Works

At the beginning of the engagement, we will establish your organization’s primary objectives, current challenges, and near-term priorities.

Weekly meetings can be used to:

  • Review progress
  • Discuss emerging problems
  • Evaluate options
  • Review plans or documents
  • Prepare for audits or major decisions
  • Guide internal projects
  • Establish priorities and next steps
  • Hold projects and teams accountable

The company determines how each weekly session is used based on its current needs.

What Is Not Included

The advisory retainer provides strategic guidance, review, and consultation. It does not include substantial production or implementation work such as:

  • Writing complete quality manuals or SOP systems
  • Conducting full internal audits
  • Developing complete courses or training programs
  • Building websites or software applications
  • Producing extensive reports
  • Performing laboratory testing
  • Completing large research assignments
  • Creating finished audio or video productions
  • On-site consulting or travel

These services may be quoted separately or completed using additional consulting hours.

Additional Consulting

Work beyond the included advisory meetings may be purchased at the current retainer-client consulting rate, subject to availability.

Additional work will not begin without approval from the client.

Scheduling and Meeting Terms

  • Meetings are normally held virtually.
  • Each weekly meeting may last up to 90 minutes.
  • Meetings must be scheduled in advance.
  • Unused meeting time does not roll over to future months.
  • A missed meeting may be rescheduled when at least 24 hours’ notice is provided.
  • Meetings canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice are considered used.
  • When a month contains five meeting weeks, the fifth meeting may be scheduled subject to availability or replaced with an extended written review or planning session.
  • Meeting availability may be adjusted during holidays or planned absences with advance notice.

Recommended Engagement Period

A three-month initial commitment is recommended so that there is enough time to understand the organization, implement recommendations, and evaluate progress.

After the initial period, the advisory relationship may continue on a month-to-month basis.
